The Rights and Duties That Come Under European Citizenship

Anyone having the nationality of a Member State is recognized as a citizen of the Union. EU citizenship is a citizenship called "superposition". According to Article 9 of the Treaty on European Union and Article 20 of the Treaty on the Functioning of the European Union, "A citizen of the Union is any person having the nationality of a Member State ".
